Ruckus Media Group (Pty) Ltd, acting as the official South African Affiliate for the Network of Academic and Scholastic Esports Federations (NASEF), is excited to announce our skills development collaboration with Autism South Africa (A;SA) with the aim of understanding how esports activities can be used as a valuable resource, but also acknowledging that this requires expertise, ownership, and awareness about the social and educational possibilities and challenges.

Leveraging off of the growing body of research being published into the positive impact of esports on people with disabilities, this collaboration further aims to extend Autism training and understanding within our already established community programmes as well as further advocating for NASEF’s approach of “All Minds, All Kinds”!

According to Leryke Kleynhans, National Training Coordinator at Autism South Africa (A;SA),” “This collaboration represents an important step towards meaningful inclusion of autistic individuals in gaming in South Africa. We believe that by recognising and harnessing the unique strengths, interests, and talents of autistic individuals we can create empowering environments where they thrive. Esports offer a valuable platform to build social connections and promote a sense of belonging. Together with NASEF SA, we are working to ensure that all minds, including autistic minds, are supported and celebrated.””
